Friday Lunches in May -

Each Friday over the winter months, The Friday Express Lunch Series offers a concise weekly changing menu - a focused expression of the season, designed to move with the rhythm of the day. Thoughtful, composed, and quietly efficient.

Alongside the menu, we’ll be showcasing a local winery of the month, beginning with Old Man Sun.

A small, thoughtful producer rooted in the Mornington Peninsula, their wines speak with clarity and ease - made for the table, and for the moment.

10 May - Mother’s Day Lunch

Mums will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling on arrival, before settling in to enjoy a thoughtful Mother’s Day 4 course set menu for 120pp from the kitchen, paired with a curated wine list and warm hospitality.

The Winter Table: Sunday Lunch Series

Settle into the slower rhythm of winter with our Sunday Lunch Series at Orson starting 14 June.

The Winter Table is a four-course menu built around the best of the season - thoughtful, produce-led cooking designed to be enjoyed over a long afternoon. Each week centres on a generous, seasonal main, accompanied by dishes that reflect the depth and comfort of winter. Each week the offering changes based on the seasons.

June:

20 June - Shaken & Served: Penni Ave X Orson Dining

A tailored five-course tasting menu, paired with five distinct vodka expressions from Penni Ave Distillery.

Each course highlights the distillery’s core range: 16th Beach, Sea Celery & Saltbush, Pepperberry & Coastal Rosemary, Wattleseed & Burnt Honey, and Lemon Myrtle & Kakadu Plum, and a special release developed in collaboration with the Penni Ave and Orson Dining teams.

The evening begins with a culinary introduction from the Orson kitchen, with each course accompanied by cocktail storytelling from the distillery.

The experience will include a culinary introduction from the Orson Dining kitchen, alongside cocktail storytelling from Penni Ave Distillery for each course, 200pp.

July:

5 July - Matt Lugg 2022 Vintage & NV Release

Join us on Sunday 5 July as we pour the new non-vintage & 2022 vintage release from Matt Lugg, a small-batch sparkling from the red soils of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.

Made in the traditional method and aged patiently on lees, Lugg’s vintage release shows fine citrus, brioche and chalky minerality - a sparkling built with the precision and patience more often associated with grower Champagne.

We’ll be opening bottles from 3pm, spinning vinyl behind the bar and letting the afternoon unfold at its own pace.
